The City Common Council in Plattsburgh has postponed the Police Department’s request for two new patrol cars, which police say are necessary to head off costly car repairs and an overall aging fleet. But city leaders now say they need to take some more time to see just how the city’s finances will shake out after all the coronavirus related issues before they commit to additional purchases. Plattsburgh Councilors say they will take another look at the idea in the fall when they hope to have a clearer picture.
